"Wonderful property, quiet location but still convenient to local activities, restaurants, etc. The snorkeling right off the property was *fabulous* with many turtles (keep your distance) and plenty of reef wildlife. It’s best to get out early in the day when the water is most calm and before the big snorkel tour boats start pulling up nearby. The great snorkeling here isn’t a secret unfortunately!Mahalo, Sue and Clark!"

"This property is one of the best VRBOs we have experienced. The location is perfect if you're looking for a private, quiet setting only steps from the beach. Located on Po'olenalena Beach, it's as if only the residents of Makena Surf use this section of the beach despite being public. It's like having your own private beach on Maui. Even better, many of the snorkeling tour operators pull their boats right up to the lava rocks along the south shore of the beach, so you can snorkel right off the beach and see tons of sea turtles without having to pay extra for a tour. The lanai with the sliding doors that open from the living room makes the unit so enjoyable. With a gas grill on the patio, we enjoyed nearly every meal sitting on the lanai overlooking the beach. The owners of this unit have everything covered. Really, everything and every little detail. Every tool and utensil you'll need in the kitchen, to everything you'll need for a day at the beach.The owners were very responsive and helpful. They answered every question quickly and ensured our stay was comfortable. We will definitely rebook again for future stays. "
